The Toronto Maple Leafs got a good looking prospect in Anton Stralman in the 5th round I believe.

Keith Yandle in the 4th since he's now already playing significant minutes in the NHL and not looking at all out of place.

Putting my homer hat on...the Avs may have another Liles type defenseman in Kyle Cumiskey (7th round 2005). Not as offensively gifted as Liles, but a confident and smart player. He had a great training camp for the Avs. They signed him to an entry level contract and sent him to Albany rather then returning him to Kelowna. Unfortunately, he's currently injured.

Slava Trukhno in the fourth round. He's currently top 5 in QMJHL scoring and he's looking like a dynamic offensive player.

Currently spitting hot fire as Kootenay's #1 goalie.

Adam Dennis, 6th rd, Buffalo

Stopped 40 of 42 in his first start with Rochester, 54 of 55 in his second. That's a 1.50 GAA, .969 SV%. Decent way to start a pro career.

It has got to be Yandle at the moment. High draft pick that is already playing in the NHL and looking pretty good.

I always liked Trukhno - I was hoping the Canucks would pick him when he was still available in the fourth round.

For Anaheim maybe Jean Phillipe LeVassuer, he had a good camp for the ducks, played well in the rookie tournament, and preceeded that with a good year in the Q. So far this year he's been inconsistant.

G Ben Bishop plays great in Maine. Don't know if you can call him a steal but he looks promising

I'm all over Bergfors (at #25) as the steal. His PPG were the exact same as Kopitars as the played on the same team in the same draft year. Kopitar was a steal in his own right, but he WAS ranked #2 by ISS and WAS predicted to go top 6. Bergfors lead Albany last year in points as the youngest player in the AHL and now he's toiling away at a point-per-game clip in his 2nd year. He's dynamic!

Yeah I was thrilled that we were able to get him. He defenintly would go higher today. Kopitar is probably the biggest steal so far. However, this will be more interesting to examine in a few years.
