perezhogin has 9pts (3-6-9) in 15 games in the RSL for Avangard, which indicates he is producing offesively.

just wondering if anyone knows why he's only played 15 games, whereas most prospects have played around 30? was he injured? is he sitting out games?

any input would be appreciated. thanks.

Perezhogin is injured (shoulder). He was invited to play for the Russian national team in the Karjala cup but was released due to injury. He hasn't played since but, apparently, he's scheduled to return very soon.

Another reason why he doesn't have as many games is that he started later due to legal stuff he had to go through in Hamilton in late September.

thanks for the info. too bad about the injury. he played very well with the junior nationals at the U20; would've been interesting to watch his development with the senior nationals. probably lots more to be heard from perezhogin in the coming years, stick swinging aside.

Well he played for the Senior Nationals they same year he played for the junior Nationals, as a 19 year old. He got injured while with the Senior National team this year, and he has been named to the Russian Team that will play against the NHLers from the IMG group next weekend.
