Today may be the worst day ever to be Atlantic Timezone Ducks fan. One too stupid to turn it off at 5-1 too thinking I may miss their greatest comeback ever.

I understand the league is trying to avoid games overlapping. Yet, something needs to be done about these late starts. 10:35 e.t. puck drop in Anaheim/SJ & Vgk/LA? Bit much.

What can the league do to avoid this? The obvious answer is earlier starts. But, how difficult would it be to do this?
Yeah, what can the league do to piss off local fans? Maybe put their home games within their working hours so they can't attend one of the most important games of the season.

The World is round. There are time zones.

Yours truly,

Captain Obvious.

The west coast gets shafted. 4 pm starts during the week? Most don't get home till like 5-6 from work. If you can't stay up for a 10:30 game record it squirt

As a westcoaster i love the appropriate (aka, late) start times for games. Can't wait for Seattle to join and get more of them.

10:35ET for a game in Cali is 7:35 local. As an Arizonan in the Pacific time zone, I appreciate the later starts. Rushing home to watch the Pens at 4PM is hard to do.

Are you for real? Why should people living on the west coast be forced to watch hockey at 4pm local time? Newsflash: Not everything is based on the Eastern Time Zone.

Have the NHL to make a deal with cable companies to create On Demand program so that fans will not miss the late game and can catch it up in the morning with the option of skipping intermission show. Sometimes PVR doesn't do justice because of OT games so On Demand would be a solution.

Why would they avoid this?

You realize these 10:35 ET starts are 7:35 starts in the place where the game is actually being played, right?

Surely you are aware of time zones, and if you are, what on earth is the point of this thread?

I’m a Rangers fan in Seattle and I have to start every 7est game 90 minutes late. Deal with it.
