Stars, Tippett agree to a new deal

Stars coach Dave Tippett has agreed to terms on a two-year contract, two team sources confirmed Monday.

An official announcement is expected this week. Tippett's original contract expires June 30. The Stars are also expected to retain Tippett's staff – associate coach Rick Wilson and assistant coaches Andy Moog and Mark Lamb.

huh, i am not sure what to think of this. On one hand it can be viewed as a sign that hockey may be gearing up. On another hand, I haven't exactly been impressed with Tippets coaching or the performance of his coaching staff.
