After a disapointing playoffs and an aging group that will see many names retire or become low liners with little in the draft cuboard the stars will look to start rebuilding.

The core will remain the same Toews, JVR, Bergfors, Phanuef, Polak will all return. Mikka Kipprusouff will likely return as the teams starter with no body there to fill the void. Players that will likely not dawn Stars uniforms next year will be Kovalev and Todd White. White is expected to annouce retirement and Kovalev will be bought out. The next likely piece to go is Komisarek and or Brian Rolston Komisarek is rumoured to have an asking price of a mid to late pick aswell as Kovalev. Rolston there looking for a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Also in the mix is Ponikarovsky and Neil both can be had for 6 or 7th round picks. If all goes to plan the forward ranks will take a huge dip and Komisarek place will be taken by young injury prone kyle Cumisky as the hope is he will stay healthy and regain some of the promise he once had. The projected lines if all is done will be.

JVR- Toews- Bergfors
?- ?- ?
Kelly-Burmistrov-Ott
Eager-Reasoner-Mair

Phanuef-White
Brewer-Polak
Cumisky-Sarich

Kipprusouff
Macdonald

The holes will likely be filled by FA signings of could see the depth Boyce,Gagnon, Wilson playing 4th line moving everyone else up the chart

Almost everyone on the Stars roster is availble for the right price Toews and JVR are the only exceptions. Bergfors, Burmistrov, Phanuef, Kipper, Polak will cost more than others. The Rest can be had for the right price simply put we are looking for youth and picks as we need to restock and rebuild
