The Dallas Stars appear to be done with the trade market with the acquisition of Brian Rolston the team now has 3 solid scoring lines. When asked if the Stars would tweek anything else GM Niece had this to say "Were happy with the group we have we arent going to look to make any changes but if something comes along that makes sense for us we may".

The Stars also acquired in the same deal young puck moving defensemen Kyle Cumisky it is not known yet if Cumisky will play as the team already boasts a very deep and strong defense core. The Stars have address both needs these past weeks by adding two top 6 forwards Rolston and White to there line up. The Stars currently lead the pacific but are only two points up on Sharks with the Sharks having a game at hand.

The Stars have played well all year and exceeded all expectations after bombing last year it seems GM Niece has learned from the experience. When asked why he was messing with what was working GM Niece had this to say " We have been happy with our teams performance but JVR is a young guy who we feel would benefit from being able to play his game and not carry such a big burden on the second line and he agreed. " With Ott its a different reason he approached us and asked that we attempt to acquire a center to take on the 2nd line role he felt that he was performing well but he didn't feel he was the type of guy that would help us have a long playoff run in that spot we respect Ott and all he has done for this organization so we gave him his wish now he can play his game and not feel the burden of playing top 6 and being relied on to score".

The Stars started out the year with many believing there offensive depth would be the end of them so they addressed the need and filled holes. The trading of Parise was thought to be the end of the franchise but the return has more than done its job Poni is on the top line and producing almost a point a game and is amoung the top scorers in his posistion. JVR has split time between 2nd/3rd line and is 4th in rookie scoring. Theres no ignoring it now the top line of the Dallas Stars has been one of if not the highest producing line in the HFNHL right now with a combined for 173 points not to mention top center Johnathan Toews is currently leading the race for Art Ross and Maurice Richard trophies.

" Toews has been a dream come true this year hes everything you could ask out of a player hes a leader on an off the ice and hes having a great year and making his line mates better in the process" GM Niece went on and on about his stars performance and who can blame him. The Stars line up is expected to look like this when they play division rival Kings tomorrow night

Ponikarovsky- Toews- Kovalev
Rolston- White- Bergfors
JVR- Ott- Neil
Kelly-Reasoner- MA Pouliot

Phanuef- Komisarek

That's a savvy bunch of moves to put together a pretty impressive roster, Zac. But perhaps an occasional paragraph would help make it a little easier to follow! (By the way, I heard a rumour that your starting golatender was threatening to go back to Europe unless the team's marketing department starting spelling his name correctly... ;) )
