Any warm water in the bathrooms yet?
No.

But I did check out the new Hard Rock Casino lounge. What a great vantage point to watch the game. They had stools, but the people in there have decided to move them so there is more standing area. A second level box are, I think they removed a couple at least, but still have seats reserved for people who come from the casino.

Where is the Casino lounge located? Is it similar to the fanzone they had the last few years but opposite side?, when I did attend I very much enjoyed the standing bar areas.

Any chance Pageau can play this year?

4-6 months, which puts him at mid-January to mid-March.

So, yes. He could be a big shot in the arm if we're somehow still in a playoff hunt towards the end of the season.

I wonder what he's thinking right now.

I find it hard to imagine him in the line-up - I actually forgot all about him.

Ideally McCormick leaves and Pageau slots right in on the 3rd or 4th line.

2nd line is Tierney's as far as I'm concerned unless he slumps hard.

2nd level, the side where Ottawa shoots in the 2nd, bird's eye view of the other end. Fan zone is directly behind so this is better. And not so damn noisy

Like the row or two of lodge style seating that was part of the fan zone last year? They used to sell tickets there before but your saying the individual bar seats there are now gone and it is a common area open to all?

Weirdly, even Dreger wasn't trashing the Senators. I think that they realize it's better to promote the team a little than to rag on them, considering they need viewership to make their broadcast rights worth the investment.
Yup. MelnykOut supporters have been slagged on here a bit lately because of the negative energy around the team, but the media has driven this narrative as much if not more. They got roasted by every sports tv and radio station after their first couple PR attempts to sell the rebuild.

Impressive win last night. Totally enjoyed that third period. Props to the team for playing with some pop here early on. Hope 95 can net one soon and I'd be happy if Stone got rolling (speaking strictly from a poolie perspective :))

How do we manage to continuously get stuck with awful D-men.. Cowan, Weir, Ceci, Boro etc? and then the management/coaches refuses to get rid of them, too???

If the team keeps on rolling, the discontent (of which I am a part of) will lose leverage.

People care about winning first and foremost. If the team makes the playoffs we got nothing until the next star player walks/gets traded because we can't afford him.

Ya its already getting pretty quiet unfortunately.

I guess I'm still assuming Stone and Duchene are traded, so at some point that will be front page news. Unless the team does something stupid like hanging on to one or both of them without a deal in place by the deadline. Plan for them being signed or traded should be set in stone regardless of how the team is doing.

That’s the pathetic part of being in the #MelnykOut crowd. They can’t enjoy the team because they are so intent on being angry and seem only to be able to enjoy complaining. I want a new owner but I’ll cheer on and enjoy the team regardless. Sooner or later Melnyk will be gone either by selling or dying but I refuse to be miserable while waiting.

maybe Tierney slumps but for me, after 6 games imo he's clearly a better player than JG. Mind you, he'll never top some of JG's heroics. I will never forget the crowd when he scored 3 against Montreal

Common area but also private reserved seating ( looks like they kept some box seats in the section)

Probably for now,

Boedker-Duchene-Ryan/White
Tkachuk-Tierney-Stone
Dzingle-Smith-Ryan/White
Paajarvi-Pyatt.
The Center are going to switch line depending on the situation.

They probably are going to continue with 7 D for now until it doesn't work.

Seeing this setup makes me really sad that Pageau is gone for the season (pretty much). Having him on the roster would make a huge difference. I feel really bad for Pager, it was really his time to shine. What a kick in the balls!

I'm happy the young guys are thriving early on. I love Chabot and Lajoie and Brady has been a great addition.

I'm just not looking forward to the time when those three have to be paid if they continue on this path. If Duchene and Stone re-sign to matching 8 mil deals, and Thomas, Max, and Brady are the other three in the top 5 best players, then none of them will settle for "prove it" bridge deals (look at what Nylander wants after two good years while being the 6th best skater on the team currently). That could mean 7 mil each for Chabot and Tkachuk, and 5 for Lajoie. And that's $35 million in 5 players, with contracts for 15 other players, at least 6 of whom (2nd line, 3-4 D, 1G) would likely earn over $4 million.
