"You see a guy like Ryan Smyth go.... BUT... At the end of the day, that's a trade that makes us a WINNER!"

Heard the same things said about Colin Fraser during the Hawks run in 2010, how after becoming a scratch in the playoffs after playing the entire season he was still such a fantastic and supportive teammate. Pat Foley, the Hawks pbp guy even ,mentioned during a Kings-Hawks broadcast this season how happy he was that Fraser was on the ice as the final seconds ticked off the clock in Game 6 of the 2012 finals and how it was a testament to how highly Sutter thought of him. That ended up being such a great trade for the Kings for so many reasons, but the difference in character between the two players is not even measurable. Smyth was already beginning to cry about his role on the Kings (and surely the reason he wanted out), had he stayed he would have been a massive distraction in addition to being a terrible hockey player.

Interesting for Brown to key in on Colin. Never realized how important of a "glue guy" Colin was to the team. Great insight. It's like Stanley Cup Moments all over again!

That's great to hear but Fraser was a shell of that player last year, even though he had about the same amount of points he wasn't getting under opposing teams skin like he was in the playoffs. He was taking shots after the whistle and throwing the body every chance he got during the 2011-2012 season. Didn't see that much of him last year.

He is also a god awful fighter.
