Laine is closer to Ovechkin than Stamkos, in terms of play style. Stamkos is a natural center, but his powerplay offense was always Brett Hull-lite. Laine does a lot more off the rush down the wing, kinda similar to young Ovie.

Obviously Laine is not the bull in the china shop that young Ovechkin was, but he's still a very special player.
