Stamkos is worth more than Poehling, Brook and our 1st which would be the best possible outcome for them in that situation.

I also have 0 desire to trade Poehling for Stamkos... Stammer, while insanely talented, is not the type of player Montreal needs or would really go after. A player like Kadri makes far more sense, both in terms of price, and playstyle for the Habs.

In terms of a fun trade:

Stamkos + Cal Foote for Ekblad + Heponiemi + 13th overall

Would make Florida have to move more pieces in the grand scheme of things, but if they add Panarin and Bob they would have one of the scariest rosters in the NHL upfront.

If the Bolts have a desire to move on from
stamkos they couldn’t do much better in terms of futures. Poehling’s ceiling is a Pavelski type player. Brook is looking like a Ryan Ellis to me and that first should be a decent prospect. Caufield, broberg, lavoie

Nice hype job, but he couldn't lead Tampa to the Stanley cup. There's no reason for Tampa to trade him. Stop over reacting and wait a week for the gut punch to get better.

Habs would definitely be interested. We'd pay a lot too - but it would have to be a mix of prospects and picks - we don't exactly have another top superstar to trade back 1 for 1.
