How many times will the St. Louis Blues have at least 100 points in a season, '20-21 to '24-25?

It's a really simple questions, which comes from this:

I think we are a 100 point these next 5 years.
All 5, or average across the 5?

The only assumption being given is that '20-21 should be prorated to a full season (because it's pretty safe it's not going to be 82 games). We'll assume all other future seasons are 82 games.

Feel free to state all the additional assumptions you desire to justify your answer, but all that really matters is your answer in the poll. Votes are private for the moment; that may (will probably) be changed when we get toward the end of the voting period.

I voted 3 and if anything that might be low. 100 points ain’t as high bar as used to be with all the 3 pt games. If we prorate past season Blues had 2 100 point seasons and 2 additional 99 point in past 5 years. And have paced at least 99 points 8 out of past 9 years.

100 points has been 9th, 11th, 9th, 10th, 12th over the last 5 full seasons (not including 19/20).

I don’t really see the Blues being that good for the next 5 years, they are probably a worse off overall team going into next season than they were this past season, and they do have an aging group of players in their late 20’s, which is usually the start of the drop off for the non-elite players in this league.

I don't even know what 100pts is nowadays. It used to be an excellent season. Now there's extra gimmick points handed out after a tie game. So you can get 2pts for tying your opponent. Theoretically you could get 164points without scoring a single goal all season.

I’ll say one. The Blues time as a power in the West is fading. Their top-3 scorers are 29, 30, and 29.

I think they could still have a strong year next season, but I don’t see it carrying too far into the future. Pietrangelo is a huge loss as well.

Agreed. I remember it used to be like 3-4 teams reaching that figure. Now it's anywhere from 9-12 teams per season.

The Blues 100 point totals (or 99 points) lately look impressive on paper, but they definitely don't mean what it once did. So I suppose they can do it 3-4 times over the next 5 seasons.

They also signed Krug. It's not like they lost him for nothing.

I think they'll be great for 3-4 more years then have to blow things up. That's when their best guys start getting to the 32-34 range. Maybe 5.

Probably one. I think they'll hang around for a few more years, and maybe contend for the Cup one of those years. I'm not expecting them to be one of the best teams in the league though in the next five years.

There is a huge difference between Pietrangelo and Krug imo.
