As I've understood it, the Panthers arena is way out in the boonies, which is why it draws poorly. But the taxes on the building are low. Something like that. The attendance isn't totally reflective of interest in the team. Also, I think they've been drawing better for the last couple of years. Won't be a completely empty place come game time.
