202* Stanley Cup Champions
Please note the following before preceding:
1.) We are again using separate lists for goalies and skaters. You may exclude either list if you wish, but keep them separate.
2.) Please copy the names exactly as I have them so that my processing script can automatically handle all the data, otherwise I will have to manually fix peoples' lists to correct typos and variations. The easiest way would be to simply quote the comment below containing the list of names, remove the quote tag, reorder the names as desired and add the formatting. If you want to type the names manually go ahead, but keep it last names only and please double-check your spelling.
3.) Please format the lists as instructed below. I'm not going to tally up lists that ignore this because it's too much effort to conform them to a standard before text processing.
4.) You may list as many prospects as you wish, whether that means all of them, a top 10, or a top 27.
Formatting:
Each name on the list, except for the last, is to be followed with a space and then a > or =. These signify whether the prospect is ranked ahead of the next on the list or whether you rate the following prospect to be equal. Numbering the list is optional, but please use two digits and then a space before the name. No periods, )'s, or anything else. If you wish to number the list and express a tie, you may use -- in place of two digits or you may just repeat the number. You may express tiers if you wish by placing --- between two names. These rules will save me a tremendous amount of work when it comes to processing your lists for the Condorcet tally, so please follow them or I'm likely to just ignore your list.
Below are three examples of acceptable formatting, all representing the same information. If your list does not look like one of these three you're doing it wrong:
Example without numbering:
Reinhart >
Zadorov =
Grigorenko >
Larsson =
McCabe
Example with numbering:
01 Reinhart >
02 Zadorov =
-- Grigorenko >
04 Larsson =
-- McCabe
Example with alternative numbering and tiers:
01 Reinhart >
02 Zadorov =
02 Grigorenko >
---
04 Larsson =
04 McCabe
