Sportsnet - Zero Bingo Coverage

It is a business.

It is arguable that the least popular Canadian team's AHL affiliate in Buttfark nowhere, upstate New York doesn't seem all that attractive to the Sportsnet suits.

When did the Jets move their affiliate to New York state?

You can't really compete with the two largest fan bases in Canada who both have teams located in GTA. Like Bonktastic said, the demand for BSENS games would probably in no way offset the cost to broadcast them. Playing safe bets at a time when the station is probably losing money because of the lockout are all a second rate station like SN can afford. It sucks, a lot. But it is the way it is.

I think there is a happy medium here.

Sportsnet has multiple channels.

Could they not put Marlies/bluejays on all but Sportsnet-O which is the Ottawa channel? Or even Sportsnet-Sens?

$$$

Cost to broadcast vs expected ad revenue

Not worth it for tehm to broadcast games that won't make money for them.
