It wasn't. 2002 was the year you talked about. Roberts, McCauley and Mogilny carried that team without Sundin.

Annoying too, as a rule I don't watch games where I know the outcome but I was thinking of watching this one because I was living in Europe at the time and didn't see these games. Kind of wanted to see Leetch play for the Leafs, oh well.

Leetch was one of the very few deadline acquisitions who actually worked well with the new team. He was in full HoF form in Leaf jersey.
