NHL Draft results 2019: Final grades, analysis for all 31 teams
Explanation for the grades is pretty straightforward, but in the end they're my grades based on my opinion.
1. Players picked relative to where I ranked them. If a team drafted a player in a later round that I had earmarked for earlier, then it helps the grade, while the opposite hurts it.
2. Teams that addressed a need or had an identifiable strategy centered on speed, hockey sense and puck skills got better grades than those who made seemingly random picks or favored size and strength.
3. Teams that went heavy on draft overagers not ranked in my top-100 got docked.
