Yeah I used to all the time. Since having my kid I never find the time anymore but yeah it’s alright. Hockey is tough to bet on I generally made the most on college basketball.

The only thing worth betting on for sport select is Pools (and I would say mainly NFL Pools). Online you will almost always find better odds than sport select.

The payout is never enough for how much you have to put into a ticket considering you have to pick 3 minimum games which is BS. Also the tie breaker rules for pro line suck and make it intentionally more difficult to win. I am not saying a lottery has to be fair, but if we have Vegas style of gaming sites instead of government regulated garbage maybe it would be worst throwing in good money every once in a while.

Sports select is brutal.

As already stated, almost always better odds online. Opportunity to cash out in game, bet single games and props way better than sport select. Bet365 is also good site.

How many of guys out there play sport select pools? and or pro-line? any luck in it?

I do pools in the NFL, but I only do the $5 play and never box games. I have a buddy who drops $80 and maxes out 4 boxed games every weekend. He's won a few times but the most he's hit is about $2K. I have won approximately $0. I don't know why I bother as I do not have any gambler's luck whatsoever. I always joke someone could take 100 boxes and put a million dollars in 99 of them and the remaining box is filled with dog shit and tell me to pick one. I'd pick the one filled with dog shit.

I had an 880$ ticket on the NFL this past weekend. Went 4/5 on pro line, needed the Cardinals to win by 4, bastards. I usually win on per season worth a few hundred bucks. 10$ ticket, once a week, only play NFL.

Yep. Odds are brutal and the three game min is complete BS. I prefer Bodog where you can bet on one or two games, play spreads or props if you want, plus you get Vegas odds.

Parleys like proline are terrible. Sure you could win big with them, but more often than not they just give you enough rope to hang yourself with.

Don't forget about our Sportsbook here on hfboard. It is fun and we have a wide variety of sports to wager on. /shamelessplug

I don't do Sport Select much, but when I do I play the Combo (I think it's called?). You get multiple parleys per ticket. How it is set up though, usually allows you to get one game wrong and still win (though you obviously win less money), but when you get all right, you can get quite a payout.

But as others have mentioned, the tie rules are whack for NHL and NFL (3 point win or less).

Any daily fantasy players here? I’ve raked in quite a bit playing CFL on DraftKings. Seem to only break even with the hockey though.

The only thing I still use sports select for is to parlay prop bets. Bodog doesn’t do that. A $2 bet with 6 picks can win you anywhere from $250-$500 easily. Those are just fun bets for me but I usually win a couple a month and they come in handy.

What hasn’t been mentioned is how much of a pain in the ass it’s become to cash in winning tickets. Most retailers don’t like cashing tickets worth more than a few bucks anymore.

I play pools alot. Ive won a bunch of times. Even the nfl pools once but so did many others. Think my biggest pools win is about 2800 and that wasnt the nfl one lol that was only 1400

And like someone else has said pro line is a scam with odds and pay outs

What bobby said. I use Bodog. Can bet on single games and all kinds of props, as well as live bet.
I agree. I use them too. I would way rather give the Cdn government my $$ but there is no way with their way worse odds on Sports Select. Furthermore, if Im not wrong, you cant do it online either which is idiotic.
