I thought the last episode with the Buddha Box was a bit underwhelming but it was still pretty decent. Manbearpig and the Tegridy Farms episodes are home runs. Best SP season in a while.

Middle of nowhere
Tonight's episode is interesting. It's about South Park getting the new Amazon thing. This eason has had a theme about shit hitting the fan. Theres a lot of truth to this to how after the World Wars our grandparents generation saw a boom after experiencing the Great Depression. They ended up having all these kids that weren't hard to actually support. They were the embodiment of the idea of leaving the next generation with a world better than they found it. With that came a baby boomer/late Gen X generation that got greedy and because things were so good they didn't care about the future thinking it would just get better. That generation didn't experience the Great Depression or the wars unless they got drafted by Nam but that wasn't many. The idea of not caring and selling out for greed has created a superpower like Amazon and the rise of Silicon Valley and the big tech they create that may have gone too far. You hear talk of robots and the world debt just continues to rise and world tensions are escalating as a result of greed and power. People are finding out things like Amazon and these smartphones arent all they are cracked up to be only it's too late. The wheels are already in motion. a guy like Jeff Bezos is too powerful to be stopped, he even has a media outlet to protect himself.

Live with us in the studio is a hot new band: The PC Babies. They're gonna perform their new song, which is about the injustice of white people in dreadlocks.

It's called "Weeeh".

Tonight's episode was TOP 5 all time. They made Jeff Bezos look CREEPY as hell and the fact his mouth didn't open to talk. Sadly with the recent Amazon plants going to cities like NYC and NoVA this won't happen but if it came to a small city it's exactly what would happen. Amazon doesn't care about it's employees. I actually would argue most employers don't BUT my beef with Amazon is that they have a lot of employees that still need to apply for and get welfare. Meanwhile not only does Kingpin Bezos make $13 million an hour hes been able to buy back the company' stock. He also has a $600 million contract with the CIA. Calling the accident a human error is part of the agenda and case for replacing us with machines which they are committed to.

I disagree with the Jack in the box guy. Socialism doesn't work because it just eliminates the middle man. Capitalism doesn't work because like how you see with Amazon and algorithms and manipulation with bribes and perks make people too powerful. It's so ironic they call this the generation of I and they call it the Iphone and the profuct symbol is an apple which is the forbidden fruit with a bite taken out of it. It's all about convenience. Nobody has any patience anymore. It's all about me, gotta have these packages ASAP even if I don't actually need what i'm getting. We used to go to stores and get the things if we needed them and never made a big deal out of it. We waited for things to be restocked. Go on social media and everyone is posting shit for instant gratification. This season depending on how you look at it is either a confirmation or eye opener to how narcissistic and pathetic our society has become. Amazon and these phones ARE THE MARK OF THE BEAST.

Am i the only one who prefers to go buy something in person?

I mean if it is an option i'd much rather have it in an hour then wait days for shipping

Same but I think you can pay more to get like 24 hour or something. Still longer but I can see why the lazy love it. Also i've heard people buy something online and not even recieving the right item so I mean theres that if I buy it physically I know what i'm getting.

Extremely smart, extremely valid take on socialism. It doesn't work because it just eliminates the middle man.

We did it in the beginning of the decades. Poor people can't pay anything in because they basically don't have anything. That's why it's a burden for the middle man. The people who recieve the benefits find out they can get more things this way than if they try on their own. It's why it doesn't work because it glorifies welfare. Speaking of welfare it's a f***ing joke that corporate can apply for and have welfare, nevermind CEO's in corporate america make millions an hour on a business day

I didn't care for the PC babies episode but they nailed it with last nights calling out Amazon for not giving a shit about their employees and blaming safety issues on the employee.

I'm the LAST person to believe in taxes, I don't even believe in our FIAT money, ever since they took it off the gold standard in 1971 it became useless. It's just federal printed IOU. I could honestly print money at home, thats why it has no value. I couldn't just find and make my own piece of gold. The fact these corporations get a bunch of red tape, bribes and kick backs and find ways to NEVER pay taxes pisses me off. It's how a company like Amazon can become Walmart on steroids. Collect money but spend it on nothing but the operation.

The Marxist box had me cracking up. And the way the reporter kept asking about him. "Do you get free shipping when you travel"

Episode makes a good point on how dependent we've become on online shopping to the point where the malls are dying. That being said I want something usually day of and I don't have time to wait. But as the kids said, sometimes you want something so specific that a mall can't offer.

You don't need to wait days for shipping though, depending where you are.

When living in London I had a TV delivered to my house in 45 minutes from the time of order. The shipping was only 5 pounds. And with Amazon Prime Now I've had multiple things delivered same day.

Not every area has access to that but next day shipping is pretty standard now as well.

Same day shipping is sweet so that would help.. But still even next day is annoying, i want it now.

Does next day shipping cost more? Free with prime?
