Just keep winning and let everything else fall where it will....it would just be nice to get the Division wrapped up and the 2nd seed asap so we can either rest or ramp up the team for the playoffs.

Impressive that senny may still hit 50 goals after missing time and starting off so sluggish.

At this point Villalta will have to stumble badly to lose his spot. If bannister inserts a shaky raaymakers into any key situations it may be at his peril.

1st in the Western Conference isn't too far off with the Hounds only being 3 points back, might be pedal to the metal all the way to the end

We also have an easier schedule than Erie. Erie plays Windsor, Peterborough and London twice, along with Kitchener and Guelph. Apart from Kitchener and Guelph, none of them will be easy. The Hounds only play one top team, London, in the last game of the season. Of course, still have to win those games but we have that schedule advantage.

Let's not count our chickens before they hatch with the Kitchener game this Friday.

The Hounds need 9 points from their final 6 games...and that's if Windsor wins all their remaining 6 games. It would obviously be less if Windsor lost any of them. Let's hope we can get all 3 this weekend! No one is a pushover at this time of year so hopefully we can seal the deal!

Instead of worrying about WSR the focus should be 12 points and attempting to win the league. Notwithstanding that OS remains the dark horse in all of this with the easiest schedule to the wire.

Here's wishing SSM best of luck in finishing ahead of the Spits.

Good game for you guys tonight. Ran into a bit of penalty trouble in the 2nd but other than that it was pure domination.

Another good game by the Hounds. Apart from the penalties in the second, we were more or less in control of that game. Another solid performance by Villata, he deserves the starting spot over Raymaakers. I thought Bouramann struggled, took two back to back penalties in the second and caused a brutal turnover that led to a Sarnia breakaway that Villata stopped.

One point behind Erie now for top spot!

Our speed game was very evident last night along with some of the crispest passing that we have exhibited all season! A great cycle game and offensive zone dominance. Fazio was exceptional and finally relented under the constant pressure. The shots weren't as one-sided as the O-zone dominance suggests though they did mount late in the game and did almost get to the 2-1 ratio.Sarnia is a plucky bunch and counter attacks quickly and pounces on any of their opportunities. Definitely a first round potential match-up much like last season though the Hounds will be favoured this time!

Windsor loses to Erie, so that's both good and bad for us. First place would be nice, but I'm happier to get a stranglehold on the division title.

Honestly. Just. Win. Exclamation on tonight vs Kitchener and next Sunday vs London. Erie and London play twice still ideally they split them, but anything can happen. While it would be nice, I'm not terribly worried about first overall. We need to win the division or we're in for a tough go. We've been playing good hockey lately and if we can get a good seed we'll lock up home ice against most teams, and hopefully a less challenging first round.

Why do you want to see London lose to Erie? Two losses from Erie and good play from the Hounds gets us first place and a matchup against Sarnia instead of Flint.

London is right there too. 1 point back with a game in hand, iirc. My worry would be that if London wins both against Erie, we'll pass Erie and London will pass us.

The nice thing with London is that we would control our own destiny. We have one more home game against them and have dominated them thusfar.

True. Didn't realize our point ceilings were within 1 point. Checked and they max out at 101, we max at 100 not including our final game. I've been focusing most on Erie and Windsor, but you're right here.

And, depending on tiebreakers, we've clinched the division. If not we only need one more point to clinch it. Now to focus on the conference.

Tonight's game is a prime example of how the league's idiotic obsession with stopping fighting leads to dangerous plays and a loss of control in the game.

If they had just let Gettinger and Henderson go at it in the second instead of jumping into the middle of a fight that had already started then the matter would have been settled.

Instead, the game was full of cross checks, dirty hits, and scrums after the whistle that completely ruined the flow of the game and the fan experience.

Another solid effort tonight. Villata was good, we need to roll with him as the starter. Made some good saves. Despite the shots on goal, I thought we more or less dominated the game. I like the way this team is playing going into the playoffs. Still need to tighten up a bit defensively, but cant really complain.

Windsor's loss coupled with our win means we win the division if I am not mistaken (as we own the tiebreaker). Still a shot to get first overall. That last game next Sunday against the Kinghts might be huge.

Looking forward to seeing the Hounds this afternoon! Never seem to know which version of the team will show up in Sudbury. Hopefully they don't take the Wolves lightly and get behind early again.

With the Soo having clinched the division, are they expected to rest anyone?
