I was wondering if any of these prospects should develope into decent NHL players. Of course I guess it comes down to personal opinions but still.

Sami Lepisto (Washington)
Andrei Medvedev (Calgary)
Alexander Svitov (Columbus)
Petr Taticek (Florida)
Kiril Koltsov (Vancouver)

Thank you, any info would be greatly appreciated.

SevenSteen, that's absurd.

He never eats just ONE donut.

Seriously...

Lepisto: On pace for a career year in Finland. I see him as a #4 guy/PP specialist once he fully matures.

Medvedev: Terrible conditioning, but great skill. I still think he could come over here and make a splash as a sometimes-backup, but that's doubtful.

Svitov: Could be centering Columbus' second line right now, and that's not an insult towards the team. He's having a subpar year in Russia so far, but he's got an NHL career ahead of him, I think.

Taticek: Big fan, and he's really turned it on for Houston this year. I thought for sure he was done, and I still think he is- albeit he won't have as bad a minor league career as I thought he would.

Koltsov: Question marks abound. I think he's a bust personally, serving as a #6 defender if he chooses to come back overseas.

Sami Lepisto had quite a slow start... I think moreso due to the team struggling (havent watched him play but monitoring the stats), but around 7 games into the season and since hes been on a tear..he's slowly worked his way up the charts among Defencemen in the SM-Liiga... he was 2 points behind the league lead and I believe another 2 points tonight..so he should be tied or close to being top D scorer... if he continues this he should be top D scorer by years end... pretty good stats for a guy who turned 21 recently, would be nice to hear a first hand account of his play tho, a bit of a side note he was voted top D-man a couple years ago in the WJC , ahead of phaneuf...take that for what its worth, hes a bit on the small side but not sure how much that hinders him if at all.. but offensively i can see him being good on the PP. Hope this helps some :)

BTW.....

ANDREI Medvedev is the fat youn goalie.
and
ALEXEI Medvedev is a 1982 born player, undrafted, who has 20 points in 30 games for Novokuznetz Metallurg of the RSL and looks very promising, out of the blue.

The poster said ALEXANDER Medvedev, who is a 1979 born player, who played two seasons in his career 1996-97, 2000-01 in the RSL and 0 points and 4 penalty minutes in those 6 awe-inspiring games.

There are other Medvedevs, Yuris, Demitris, ect... who is it you ment?
