Over the years my grandfather has built up a collection of (mostly) classic cars. I figured some folks around here may appreciate this collection.

Custom Dragons, and Elvis on left, Marilyn Monroe and another Dragon on the right.

Sadly, the website that contained all of these pictures in their original form lost the domain name, and never renewed or made a new site. This Pinterest Board has the best photos available of the rest of the collection if anyone's interested.

What is up with that white car? It looks like a cross between a 53 Vette and a Shelby series 1. Some kind of restomod? It's f***ing cool whatever it is.

Good catch. It’s my favorite. The car was a 2003 Corvette C5 which my Grandfather had sent away to have the body remodeled into the ‘53 on the chassis of the ‘03.

To the best of my understanding and recollection, the guy who was doing the remod came up with Some of the original designs for the 50th anniversary edition Corvette, but GM ultimately didn’t go with his design. Therefore, he was free to use this design to do these kinds of projects. I could be misremembering but I think that’s how it went.
