Thanks, gotcha!
Although it will be interesting to see how he fares with much better linemates (if he plays with MacK and Lando).
Could "break out" which sounds weird considering he's 29.
Thanks, gotcha!

Carl was interviewed by a Swedish newspaper June 11, 2015 about his past and future
This is a Google translation directly from the newspaper
Carl Soderberg wearing fashionable sunglasses and a white shirt. He enjoys the leave after a tough NHL season with the Boston Bruins. Carl Soderberg played many matches half injured, including a broken rib.
Boston missed the playoffs anyway and Carl Soderberg got a request to play the World Cup.
- I was hungry, but my injuries affected and then it was an insurance issue, he says.
Insurance issue was particularly important. Carl Soderberg sitting with expiring contracts and want to be healthy before the signing of his life's most important agreements.
He came third in the Boston Bruins internal poängliga, but everything indicates that there will be a continuation.
- No, it does not seem so. To extend with me had called ommöbleringar in the squad.
It's all about Carl Soderberg is facing a hefty raise, to be held during the Boston Bruins salary cap. Therefore he teaches end up on the open market later this summer. The other 29 NHL clubs can bid on him.
For one thing is clear.
- I will play in the NHL, he says.
And then you end up at around $ 4 million in annual salary?
- Yes, it is well. There is a lot of money. It feels great of course, but I have fought very hard for it.
Carl Soderberg has no specific wishes regarding a new employer. He wants to get a role as second center, playing around seventeen minutes per game and come to a team that can win something. Overall, this means that Carl Soderberg could end up all around the North American continent.
Hockey can be played in all cities. So he argues. Not even the Canadian prairie discouraging.
I think he can.
His struggles last year were injury related. People saw Spooner at his best while Soder was injured and at his worst...
He put up 50 points playing 14 minutes a night two years ago and was on that pace agains this year before the injury. I think that when he gets 2nd line minutes he's going to put up 2nd line points.
They still can't afford to keep him, but IMHO, he'll be the best value signing this summer.
As I said in one of the other threads, it wouldn't shock me to see him have a great season and put up 55-60 points for us.
Carl must really be a creature of habit, he didn't even want to test free agency.

did Chambers just...do his job?

I just can't get over the fact that he didn't want to be a free agent. Sure now knowing how the market died would be one thing but prior to that it's like the floodgates open and GMs are throwing money at you. I mean I'm sure the offer was about what he was hoping for and as an anxious person myself I understand not wanting to pass up something good but you just don't hear players who don't even want to see the market before the first time in their life they can. I'm glad he liked the idea of coming here and is happy about it.
I feel like there's a difference in mentality between North American players and European players, that Euro's tend to seek the comfort and avoid the stress/anxiety/whatever of contract situations while North American players tend to be on the capitalistic side of things. Doesn't apply to each and every individual and I've got absolutely nothing to back me up on this, but it's how I perceive things to be.
There's just something about enthusiastic players that just make me root for them. Might be the fact it's easy for a fan to associate with a player if they both have an outwards passion for the team.
