for some reason, it never dawned on me putting jt and crosby on the same line...but it makes so much sense. 2 forwards with arguably the best hockey sense(who are both excellent along the boards to boot) in the nhl and throw in the best shooter/sniper in the nhl who also adds elite speed? yikes! not sure how difficult it will be for jt and stamkos to transition to wing though.

A Tavares-Crosby-Stamkos line would be absolutely nuts. Stamkos and Tavares should have no problem transitioning to the wing if Crosby is at the pivot. Honestly, it really wouldn't matter who plays where as long as they are on the ice together. I would really love to see that happen and it very well could.

lol, I checked my last prediction and it seems to be so outdated after just 4 months. I had hard time resisting making another one, but I promised myslef I won't until the end of the next season.

Can't have an American team without Bobby Ryan and Jack Johnson, in my opinion.

I agree.

Zach Parise - Ryan Kesler - Patrick Kane
Bobby Ryan - Joe Pavelski - Ryan Callahan
Max Pacioretty - Paul Stastny - Jason Pominville
Dustin Brown - David Backes - Phil Kessel

Ryan Suter - Cam Fowler
Ryan McDonagh - Erik Johnson
Jack Johnson - John Carlson

Jonathan Quick
Ryan Miller

Keith Yandle is probably the 2nd best US d-man right now. Assuming good health and all, he's a lock on this team.

Dang, I don't know how I forgot those two. I would take out Oshie and replace him with Ryan and one of either McDonagh or Bogosian for Johnson.

Travis Zajac?! :biglaugh:

Zajac has been playing well these playoffs and Canada could use him in a defensive role on the fourth line. As for Toews not playing center, I don't know what the difference is between him and Bergeron at center.

Zajac has been playing well these playoffs and Canada could use him in a defensive role on the fourth line. As for Toews not playing center, I don't know what the difference is between him and Bergeron at center.

Here are some players that would be left off your roster if Zajac is given a spot:

- R. Getzlaf
- J. Spezza
- R. Nash
- J. Neal
- P. Sharp
- J. Thornton

Also, some notable youngsters that don't make the cut:

- J. Eberle
- T. Seguin
- T. Hall
- R. Nugent-Hopkins
- J. Skinner
- M. Duchene

Zajac is not making our Olympic team. End of story. Also, with regards to the difference between Toews and Bergeron. While Bergeron is a great player in his own right, did you not watch the Olympics in 2010? Bergeron was used sparingly as the 13th forward and focused primarily on taking defensive zone faceoffs. Toews on the other hand was our best forward, a total beast offensively and defensively. He finished with 1G and 7A for 8P in 7 games, had a +9 rating and was voted best forward of the tournament.

Pretty conventional, except some parts.

The visionary parts, I believe that Lander will be a big name perhaps even play big minutes. Landeskog will be an obvious first liner 2014.

I see a young and skillful D still with grit on all parings, no country will match this D challenge me. Enström has had a weak season but he have two 50p seasons under his belt.

Further the goalie situation. I believe that we have our strongest names, behind Lundqvist 2014, currently in the AHL. None of the other 7 NHL goalies are good enough. Markström and Läck on the other hand will be first goalies on a NHL team.

I think we will see one or two of Teräväinen, Määttä, Barkov, Armia, Salomäki, Ristolainen in Finnish 2014 roster.

What we desperedly need is goalscorers..
