This is delaying my mock draft. Who do you think they will target?

If they keep the pick, a guy like Zibanejad or Armia could fit the bill.

Hamilton for sure, if he's still there. It's one of those things that almost makes too much sense.

A defensemen who falls (Hamilton please and thanks) or one of the other defensemen (Murphy/Siemens/Beaulieu).

To be honest, if they can't get Hamilton I will be very happy with Beaulieu or Zibanejad. Murphy will probably take longer to develop, but to be honest I see him as being very good down the line. Siemens could really help toughen up this team for the future too ...

However, since this team lacks a 'stud' prospect, I think they go for the BPA. But again, that's debateable. I don't see any of RNH/'Kog/Larsson/Couturier/Hamilton/Strome/Huberdeau falling to be honest ... but if they do. :naughty:

Hamilton doesn't get passed the Islanders. I say Philly drafts Murphy.

honestly they really should pick a defenseman... it doesn't even matter about bpa, there gonna need some defenseman badly when pronger and timmonen decline/retire within 3ish years. There absolutely set on forwards. i'm gonna say hamilton but murphy will probably be who they pick, unless they REALLY like beaulieu. did the flyers do some interviews, go to day 1 of the combine, etc?

It has to be Murphy or Hamilton. Flyers are very pro-OHL.

Don't let Boston get one of them please (I assume one will go in the top 7).

Don't hold your breath on the Flyers staying at #8. And this erupted my mock draft too.

Hamilton sounds like the obvious choice. However, I don't think he'll drop that far. Maybe a trade down, and acquire a second round pick.

    to Flames:
    8th overall

    to Flyers:
    13th and 45th (2012 3rd pick)

Hamilton or Couturier will go a long way to softening the blow.

I can see Philly picking Murphy, but definitely Hamilton, if he is there.

Even though they moved 2 centers, they got 2 back in Voracek and Schenn. Given the youth, I don't see them taking Strome. Looks like a Beaulieu/ Strome choice even more now.

Eklund says Philly is looking to move up.

  24. I doubt they select a dman, after shipping out 2 top line centers...

My guess is they draft Z.Bad.

This is still a team with the pieces to contend, therefore it's BPA.
