Yup. They should be in last place and if they aren't it's a fluke, mostly because they are all soft and over paid, oh and bad leaders.

Also every pick they've ever made is a bust, and if they ever make it to the NHL, they are a 3rd/4th lines or bottom pairing D on every other team.

It really all comes down to their bad leadership. Trust me I've spent extensive time in their lockerroom and I can tell you that Dion Phaneuf is one of the worst captains in the league. He made fun of Phil Kessel for liking cookies. He wears a Red Bull hat during interviews..

The proof is in the pudding. Just bad leadership through and through.

They're doing about as well as I expected.

Obviously, it's a long season, and there will be peaks and valleys. Now they're on a streak. This time last month they were losing 15-4 to Buffalo and Nashville. At the end of the day they were always going to be a bubble team this season.

Depends on your definition of "good".

Is there a good chance they make the playoffs? Sure, but 16/30 teams make the playoffs in this league, so let's not pretend that's an accomplishment.

Is there a good chance they win multiple playoff rounds? I personally doubt it. Top line is too weak defensively, and the 2nd pairing on D needs work.
