Next skilled scapegoat won't be a full-time Hab... if Kotkaniemi doesn't score 3ppg and zipping around like McDavid by December, people will be calling for his head and declare him a bust despite turning 18 years old in July and yet to play a game in the NHL.

This hasn't happened yet?! I remember people having a near meltdown when he was selected over Tkachuk or whomever else.

Drouin is more skilled than Galchenyuk.

Domi is a pretty good talented player too.

Scherbak have amazing hands.

It's not true that French Canadians are always forgiven by the media and local population.

Brisebois, Latendresse, and Desharnais all faced significant local criticism.

Only if Drouin does not produce this year. 25 plus goals and 60 points is a minimum for criticisms...

Where was Price's pride last year? I never will attack any single player for a bad overall team performance. Haven't we learned from the Subban situation? I believe in supporting young skilled players. Not throwing them under the bus the 1st chance we get. Also, Patch's playoff performance. Is that on Patch or is that on the team for not having a better skilled top 9 group of forwards with solid centers.

The attitude was wrong last year. But that blame starts with management and is shared by all the players. It was a mess of a season and it started with team confidence heading into camp. There was a lot of negative perception with losing Raduov and Markov right from the get go
There are a lot of negatives around this team and pre-season hasn't even begun yet.

1. Injuries to a couple of players
2. Max Pacioretty situation
3. Lackluster off-season

In the end, this team's attitude will reflect its talent-level.

Honestly it could be Johnny D.

The reason why DD never was hammered as much as he should have been(besides being french) is despite him doing poorly we were still winning games.

JD will be front and center to what I am assuming will be another bottom 5 basement battle.

DD got the benefit of playing on a team that won more then they lost. JD won't get that.

Another factor is DD was the feel good love story of a undersized underdog local talent who battled his way to the #1 line. JD on the other hand , has high expectations riding on him. We gave away a Blue chip Prospect in Serge that we could REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY use right now....

So yes, as unlikely as some may think, If we stink it up on offense.. we won't be looking at Domi, or shaw it might be on JD.

of course Patches could steal the show. Things could get ugly and we see the RDS propaganda machine come out gun blazing throwing patches, leks anyone not named gallgher under the bus....

Oh what fun to wait and see!!! Who will it be!?!?
