My employer just made the call to open tomorrow.
No one will be there....but, oh well.

Yep, already know I'm probably going to need to walk to work tomorrow. About a foot on the ground here now and we're expecting rain tonight just above the freezing point. Not going to be a fun day.All I know is I’m praying for a snow day at work tomorrow and I’m doubtful we’ll get one.
How you do heating in the sunbelt Americas?I'd trade. Its getting cold in this house now
Probably 99% around here are either heat pump or natural gas. But most gas furnaces also need electricity to regulate the system, so are not functional without power. How you do heating in the sunbelt Americas?
Our first house here had one like that. Our current one is a hybrid that uses the heat pump down to 40F and then gas furnace below that. One for each floor.Mines based on the hot water heater which is gas but the fans and pump are electric.
Never loss power.
Feels good
They're saying warming up to 34 here overnight then dipping back below freezing by 9 or 10am with more falling precip. And my employer wants to open at 9am. Lolol.Damn it's ****ing cold outside, ****s gonna freeze and the roads are going to suck tomorrow.
Yeah we’re due to open at 11. Which really means 11ish given how long is probably going to take to chisel my car free.Yep, already know I'm probably going to need to walk to work tomorrow. Non-essential personnel told to stay home...ah, the benefits of being not needed.
And of course, it’s snowing here again....
It's a polite way if saying "if you're not saving lives, stay the f*** off the roads." Of course, every employer I've ever had thinks we are essential. I've never had an "essential" job. Police, fire, rescue, ER, nursing home and hospital staff"Non-essential". That sounds like a public sector classification.
