SMG and Spectra are not the same company.

SMG was founded in 1977 and its first client was the Superdome in Louisiana. They are headquarted in Conshohocken PA, a Philly suburb.

Spectra is a division of Comcast Spectacor. It was founded in 1974 as Spectacor by Ed Snider as the management company when he owned the Flyers and controlled the old Spectrum, where they used to play. Those companies have merged, been acquired, divided, and bought others over the years. Now they are part of Comcast, which also owns NBC/Universal, but Comcast Spectacor is the division that owns Spectra, the Flyers, the Maine Mariners, the Wells Fargo Center, Flyers Skate Zone, and a bunch of other stuff. They are headquartered on S Broad Street in Philadelphia, at the Wells Fargo Center.
