AKA the "Little Ball of Hate" appreciation thread.

As a Kings fan I've "learned" that big bodies are needed on the Kings for playoff success. When I see a big player having playoff success, it feels normal. But when a smaller player kicks butt, I take notice.

Who are some consistently good players of small stature and big performances?

Marchand in 2011.

Edit: NVM, I see you said consistent, which Marchand definitely hasn't been in the playoffs.

Torey Krug really brings it in the playoffs, only 2 under his belt but he can always be counted on when we need a big goal.

Briere is a monster in the playoffs. I have no idea why he can't play that well in the regular season.

Season | Games Played | Goals | Assists | Points
03-04 | 82 | 28 | 37 | 65
05-06 | 48 | 25 | 33 | 58
06-07 | 81 | 32 | 63 | 95
07-08* | 79 | 31 | 41 | 72

Those aren't bad seasons, the one obviously is exceptional, but they aren't bad, the last one especially playing with a new team, new linemates and a new system. It was also only Stevens 2nd as a head coach after the worst season in franchise history the year prior. Obviously his greatest run was the 09-10 playoffs though

I meant since he left Philly. He sucked during the regular season in Montreal but he was good in the playoffs.

Does Johnny Gaudreau count? 9 points in 11 games in his first playoff run is pretty good. He was the only consistent forward throughout the whole playoffs.

How on earth has Tyler Johnson not yet been mentioned? The guy is about 5'6" and he's got 8 goals in the playoffs already.

Vatanen's 7 point in 9 games is also pretty impressive.
