All league talk goes here.

Apparently Polish clubs are thinking about joining the league.

Mirosław Minkina (president of the Polish Ice Hockey Federation): "Some of the bigger clubs are stable – at least four of them won’t have big issues regarding their financial stability. The only thing now is competition among themselves. They are willing to discuss the possibilities of combined leagues with Slovakia and Hungary. (...) The bigger Polish teams want a seat at the table with Slovak and Hungarian representatives. The teams want close cooperation with cross-border partners."

Take Znojmo plus some teams from Ukraine and you have a nice League.

A bit off topic but HC Kosice seems to be in financial trouble and are looking for donations from fans

Bad outlook for the Slovak league now as the Ministry of Health is proposing stricter attendance limits to apply from October on: no more 100 spectators at any indoor event (instead of 500) and as few as 50 (instead of 250) in "red" areas with a particularly high number of Covid cases.

The decision has been changed at least 3 times today, but the last decision is that the season CAN be played.

It's just if there is more players, staff etc. than 50 altogether, they can't let in any spectators.

If the players / staff number 20 gor example, 30 spectators would be allowed.

However Extraliga might still not start on Friday because the new contract with refs hasn't been signed and the refs claim they won't take part in Friday's games with no contracts.
