Slavin vs Hanifin

Neither.

To me, these two players are the long-term cornerstones of the defense right now. In a lot of ways, Hanifin has already replaced Faulk. At some point, I think we trade Faulk+Rask for the best goal-scoring winger we can get, move Aho to center as planned and bring Necas in.

I don't disagree with anyone saying neither, but if I had to pick one it'd probably be Slavin. A lot of that has to do with Fleury impressing so far defensively. I think he could replace Slavin's shut down minutes better than Hanifin's offensive additions.

Could also depend on how Hanifin's contract goes though. If he's twice as expensive as Slavin and you want to go after a big money 1C, that could make a difference.
