The only two competitions I want Karlsson to do are hardest shot and fastest skater and he never does them. Odd.

Everyone knows his accuracy is terrible lol.

Yet he manages to get shots through blocks onto the net from the point more regularly than most other D in the league.

doesn't stop him from getting the puck to the net though. i guess that's more about vision than accuracy

and yet his shooting percentage has dropped 2.6% from last year

Shooting % is always volatile, you can't expect it to stay the same year to year, a 2.6% drop isn't uncommon, in fact it's probably the norm (well, a 2.6 jump in either direction) and that's not even getting into the fact that it's only been 36 games.

rookie year = 4.5%

2010/2011 = 7.1

2011/12 = 7.3

2012/13 = 7.6

2013/2014 = 7.8

2014/15 = 5.1

I agree that for a lot of players it can jump around a lot. EK always seemed very consistent however, and that's changed this year.

Even Karlsson's sh% has been up and down when you break down the samples; his 11/12 season he was at 3.4% after 36 games. My point is it's not a concern, it tells us nothing about anything that it's currently down from his career norm.
