I have said this lots, it’s so easy to see Virtanen just thinks too much out there. He is so scared to make a mistake, and when he does that’s it one shot.

while I don’t think Jake is some great player, the issue to me is him way overthinking, and almost on over coaching. They should keep his game as simple as possible.

it’s maddening to see other players get gifted ice time then our young guys get that type of treatment.

This is the thing, you have to utilize players appropriately.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were playing like crap because their playbook was too complicated for some of their players. They shifted their play calling, simplifying their playbook, and turned their whole season around.

A guy like Virtanen needs to play a north south simple game while a guy like Highlander is more suited to an East West game.

Players need to be put into situations where they can succeed.
