OT: Skating on the Canal

Anyone know if you can rent those stands that help kids learn to skate? I'm bringing my kids to the canal this weekend and all I could find for rentals were skates and sleds. I'd rather my son skate around a bit.

When we went last year they had some at dow's lake, but they only had a few and they were gone pretty quick...
