whoops, I'm sorry. totally slipped past me that it said supremes had a wider heel.

as to the pencil test, I've failed almost every pair of skates I've tried on. is it really that necessary to pass? I know that it would cut off blood flow and make it uncomfortable but what other effects does it have, does it break down the boot faster?

well, the best fitting pair was a solid 1/4-1/2 inch above the eyelets entirely. awkward they're vapors in EE, and they're the shallowest Bauer skate.

The guy at the store ordered in a pair of mako 2 and mako m8s and said they should have more depth and would mold to be wider, not sure I agree but it's worth a shot I guess.(Can we make an awkward feet hate thread?)

Look into custom VH footwear skates too. They are made to measure and will accommodate your weird foot, if you're on Makos already, the price will be worth it. Have mine for over a year and love them.
