Not bad. Decent third liner. Doesn’t rack up a huge amount of points, but he’s fast, draws a good amount of penalties, and is great on the forecheck and opening up space for others.

Was actually really good for us in the playoffs last year.

Sorensen works hard , is a good skater and has pretty good hands. Deal is maybe a bit rich but not much so solid deal for both sides.

He's easily one of my favorite non Leaf players.

The speed and intensity he plays with is matched by few players in the league.

Perfect hybrid player you can slide anywhere up and down your lineup.

2.25 next year for him and Radil. Neither will score more than 30-40 pts, but are both versatile.

Wilson is doing a good job re-signing depth players for reasonable, short term deals.

Great signing! Really good two way player that adds some skill to the bottom 6.

I love Sorensen. Fast, gritty, good on the PK, sound defensively and should be a 25-30 point guy.

I was anticipating between 1.3-1.6M on a 1-2 year deal.

Goodrow for 900k, Radil for 700k and Checkovich for 775k. Let's get Suomela and Grambrell for 700k a pop and Jumbo for a mill and we've got a good solid bottom 7 with upside for under a mill on average.

So great Thornton had to start scoring his own goals for the first time in his career?
Thornton has over 400 goals in his career with two years almost hitting 40. He has always scored goals but likes to pass and get assists more, check your facts

Seems like a good signing for a decent depth player. Locking up a fellow Swede before meeting with Karlsson and his agent doesn't look bad, either.

Just the other day i was going through the Sharks cap situation for fun and came to the conclusion that if the Sharks want to keep EK, Sorensen will take 1-2M bucks in a 2 yr deal.

Seems like the Sharks thought the same. Smart to get this done now.

You might check Thornton's stat line from 2000-2001.

That said, Sorenson is the F1 on that line and has more ES goals than Thornton.
