Yay everyone who is young
Boo everyone who is old
Flyers have the money right now for Simmonds. If they aren't worried about his health going forward, or decline, I don't see the problem giving him something very front-loaded (they have the money), that tails off into something lower to make sense for paying a 3RW / PP / leader / lockerroom voice.
This is with the caveat they are giving him a lot up front and keep that AAV down so they can sign all the kiddos now and later.
A creative contract could get it done that we should like.
Dude torn his freaking pelvis. It's pretty safe to say simmer won't be the same.Let's not forget that Simmonds was banged up almost all season long, especiatlly at the end of it. He was not healthy. I doubt that he's slowing down, not yet, still in his prime years, just needs to stay healthy.

Isn't the pelvis a bone?Do you have any medical expertise to make such a prognosis?
There’s a cap on how much you can move the money around from year to year on a contract.
I wasn't suggesting a drastic swing in the money, just front loaded.
