I like it. Produced at a similar rate to Fabbri. We can actually ice some depth scoring. Let's face it, Svechnikov is not an NHL player and Hirose, Rasmussen, Timashov, and Smith need to round out their games more.

Just don’t see the reason really. Contract is low risk though.

We're still far from competing and most of our prospects at forward aren't ready for a top 9 role. Namestnikov fills a short term need in depth scoring and can easily be traded at the deadline either this year or next to continue to stock up on picks.
