A minute in, and Sid is saying a lot of us “Leaf haters” have pointed out, multiple times, in multiple threads.

It’s refreshing to see a Toronto Media Member actually criticize the Leafs.

But let’s be real, all that will happen is that Sid will be called a moron and a Leaf hater, because that’s the trend.

Not sure what the past has to do with the present anyways.

He has some good points and some terrible ones like what happened years ago has no bearing on the state of this current team

Pointless thread. Unnecessary arguing will be commencing unless this thread gets the axe quickly.

The Leafs haven't won the Cup in a long time, so they never will again. Hmm sound logic.

The Leafs have a lot of offensive talent and should be a good team this year. It will be fun to watch.

Really? The Coles notes of his rant is that the Leafs have sucked since 67....which okay? Not entirely sure how that is relevant in any way. Next point is that the Leafs aren't even and haven't been close to getting out of the 1st round....that is objectively just flat out wrong. Next he goes on about how nobody is talking about the Leafs defense? I mean what? Nobody is talking about the Leafs defense? He is really striking out here so far. It's okay though because he probably doesn't even believe 90% of what he said and just new it would get a few hundred thousand views...which it did.

If only Leaf fans would stop being in denial about there horrible D situation.
having one of the better GA while having one of the worse Shots against is an indication of great goaltending NOT great defense.

If Anderson gets hurt it's over.

The fact that it has one Like and it's The Winter Soldier is so poetic.

    What denial?

We're in denial that we are the worst, or one of the worst D's in the league (because we aren't). The vast majority of Leaf fans think our D is bottom 10.

Basically it says that the leaf fans cant be excited about their team until they win because hockey fans cant predict **** until after it happens.

What do I mean by that?

Means that you could say the same rant about the Washington Capitals "oh they will never win" "oh Ovi can't lead the team to a cup"

You could say that up until you can't say that anymore.

So lalalala suck my fatty. Leafs are Stanley Cup favs.

My favourite point is that Oz won't be a good player because he isn't being paid big money.....on his ELC.

Yes, really. Quite a few teams actually aren’t that wholly dependent on their number one.

Whether that’s through reliable backup, good defense, a well coached team playing effective systems, etc....

Yeah, quite a few minimize the impact a ton

So you are telling me there is more then a handful of teams in the league that wouldn't feel the hurt if their number 1 goalie goes down for a significant amount of time? That is just flat out not true.
