So a team is tied 1-1 after OT and then 5 players score goals in the shootout with one team scoring 3 shootout goals and the other scoring 2 goals. Final score on record is 2-1 but you want 8 players awarded goals in the game? Nah.

Are we also going to ruin goalie SV% and GAA by including goals against in their game totals? You really can't count goals for scorers but not count goals against for goalies.

Just make it a 10 min 3v3 (almost sure to be a goal every time) and no SO (game ends in a tie). Oh, and make the tie breaker regulation wins instead of ROT because OT is a gimmick too.

Either no, or only to the "game-winner" in the same manner as a penalty shot
I always thought the game winner should count personally... but im not a fan of the shootout and honestly id rather see 3 on 3 until someone scores. Would be more exciting for the fans... and would force teams on 3 v 3 to play more aggressive and not hold the puck until shootout.

The most credit I'd be willing to give shootout goals is a gwg tally to the winning shot without the actual goal awarded, but that has complications so no across the board.

I agree with the GWG for sure. If it’s going to be in the game you have to have some reward for winning it.

Of course not. If you count them all, it massively inflates scoring totals. If you only count the winner, that makes no sense because the other goals the team scored might be just as crucial. The best way to go about things is to just not count any of them and have shootout goals as an entirely separate category.

No. They shouldn't even give out a W for winning a shootout or a 3-on-3 gimmick OT. It's an injustice to all those teams that won their game in regulation. Might as well start giving standings points for each goal scored in the shootout.
