Should early goal scorers get more ice time?

The only players with less ice time, more shots and more goals than my third-line starter Marleau are:

Rick Nash
James van Riemsdyk
William Nylander

I think Marleau should be in the team's top-6 regardless of coach and franchise politics. So, maybe the other three should too?

You look at guys like Ladd getting top-line minutes, 1 point (a secondary assist) in 10 games and -3 for a team with a losing record and the argument for intangibles falls apart quickly.

Should the coach pay attention to production early in the season, or wait a few more months before changing pre-season aligned lines?
