something is lacking on both the player and coaching personnel to not step up when given the opportunity/previous alck of success

People criticises Howard because if unless the other team misses on their own it won't matter if we score on every attempt of ours. At least Tatar got a goal for Jimmy, had he done that for Gus we'd have won.

That being said, Christ almighty we suck at shootouts.



Gus was the one in net, not Howard.....

Yes, if I didn't know it already the fact that it progressed past 2 shots a side after we missed twice would've been a dead giveaway. ;)

Howard was in net in the game before this one against the Panthers though and true to form the only one that wasn't scored on him it was because the shooter messed up, not because he made a save. That has been the case in every shootout he has faced this season and I am pointing it out to those who actually tried to use Gus doing his part as an opportunity to absolve Howard from the blame of not doing his.
