Equipment: Shooring Pad with real ice?

Hey guys,
one of my buddies bought a house and we're thinking to install a shooting area with REAL ICE in his basement.

Is there anything like this available? You know kinda smaller, maybe 3" x 6" for stickhandling and shooting. If yes, can you link it?

sounds awesome, but probably not sensible.

sport court or some kind of synthetic ice would be easier to install, FAR cheaper to maintain, and carry much less risk (of flooding, etc.)

It's not possible, but synthetic ice definitely is. Google "synthetic ice". I would imagine it starts at a few grand and can go up from there.

That's a shame, we do not know much about the technical side so figured someone already made it. Why is it impossible? Size, energy? Thanks for the tip on synthetic ice, we'll look into that.

You'd need to bust up the floor and install refrigeration and then keep the house at 40 degrees.

If you are getting synthetic ice, make sure you get the "next generation" product that has the lubricant infused in the ice rather than you having to apply a lubricant.
