Somewhere Karlsson is laughing.

I agree.

What a drama show in Ottawa.

Tonight's roster announcement for the Sens might be the most anticipated ever. What a way to potentially tell your fanbase if your star forward (Stone) is going to be re-signed or not.

I mean at this point, why would they resign them? Unless they pull off the biggest turnaround ever. They aren’t going to be good for another couple years at least.

Would look worse if they were playing a home game i suppose.
Will look bad tomorrow and Sunday though unless there is movement tonight or tomorrow. Even so, if there was a serious injury to a valuable trade chip prior to the deadline that is absolutely a much worse scenario.

based on results so far, this tdl seems to be a buyer's market with way too many decent pieces on offer. i just don't see how the sens move these three guys for value.

Has a professional team ever dove into the abyss like the Sens before? They had a very good core and a hopeful future 2 years ago and in two years they traded away (on top of my head):

Turris, Brassard, E. Karlsson, let go of Methot, Hoffman, 1st pick, Dzingel (soon?), Duchene (soon?), Stone (soon?)

Any other names I forgot ? That's a solid core and it plummeted so fast, and sure Duchene was got by trading away Turris but it just hurts.

News will break something like this.....
This just in. Mark Stone and his equipment bag were just dropped off at the bus terminal in New Jersey. When asked for comment, Pierre Dorian said... "Negotiations are still taking place and I'm very confidant in a positive outcome".... more on TSN Sportcenter at 6

If you are expecting the Senators to do something that makes sense (i.e. sit guys you are obviously trading), you obviously haven't been paying attention.
