Derick Brassard vaults past James Sheppard as #1 on Q skaters ranking from the prelim rankings posted on the Central Scouting website...otherwise no big surpises at the top of the lists for the Dub,the "O" and the NCAA nor the euro country lists...

Can you post the Q gaolies from the preliminary list please.

The only other surprises might be that David Ruzicka is only ranked 9th among all Czech skaters and that Tysen Dowzak is 7th among WHL players. Although depending on what you read, those might not be surprises.

Id say around 15th.

CSB must have based these rankings off of early season. Sheppard the last 10 ganes has 17 points and is playing much better than early on.

Yea, CSB bases there PRELIMINARY RANKINGS mainly on players last season performences and somewhat very early 05-06 performences.

Which is why you see a guy like Ryan Hillier ranked #3, He has busted out of the gate in the early going while #5 is his Halifax teammate Bryce Swan who has a great 04-05 season, but has stugggled with injury troubles so far this season.

Then down at #22 you have Geoff Walker, who like Swan had a great 04-05 season but was struggleing and has left Gatineau and returned home but somehow they still deciede to rank him.

Which is why i never read into there CSB prelimnary ranking, because i find them useless and they do not really tell you who the best of the best really is as this season is well past last season where most of there viewing/rankings come from.
