There’s no viable speculation regarding this. Maybe an overreactiob to Ghost saying stuff about usage before the trade deadline.

Either change the title/thread from speculation or take it down.

Which ghost? The elite offensive player and premier power play quarterback or the undersized middle pairing guy who struggles in the playoffs.?
Ghosts usage and development has been one of the glaring factors of the former regimes dismissal. The problem is he plays like the former and is paid like the latter. You can't recoup value like that. Toronto had kaberle a few years back and he was constantly in rumors too. They didn't let him get out of town til that deal was up and we shouldn't either. Let the new gm figure out what kind of team we're going to be and a coach who knows what hes doing.
I do however hate value of threads that don't have proposals in them so just to put something out there
Puljujarvi and larsson from edm for ghost

Ive always thought that i could see him dealt in offseason.

The return would be a very good one. Alot of teams would want him and has a very good contract

He's obviously not had a great season but he's capable of putting up 60 points for a cap hit of 4.5 million, even if he returns to just hitting 50 then that's great value. If the Flyers were able to replace MacDonald with a legit top 4 dmen then that would do them a world of good, they have some good pieces on the backend but they're relying too heavily on Provorov, Sanheim and Ghost.

Replace MacDonald? He was replaced for most of the 2nd half of the season

Been hearing this speculation as well.

Ghost seems unhappy in Philly
Link? He’s set up foundations, charities, and other altruistic acts in the city. He’s set his roots in the city.

His comment about usage is what he was unhappy with. That’ll change when they coaches get replaced. He was only scratched this past game only due to the fact that we were going to have 9 Dmen on the team and we were playing 4 Dmen that had less than a full season under their belt. Gordon wanted to see what some of the rookies had. Gudas sat out a game too.

In his rookie year he averaged 20+ mins a night and put up 0.72 PPG and was plus 8...

The following year he was under 20 mins a night and only put up 0.51 PPG and was minus 21....

Last season he averaged 20+ mins and finished with 0.83 PPG and was plus 10...

This season he averaged less than 20 mins a night and finished with 0.47 PPG and was a minus 20.

So basically in a nutshell give him to 20+ mins a night and he will have huge numbers!!

Keep him Philly!!.. Play him more mins

He still played 47 games. They need someone to anchor the 2nd pair with Ghost (or to shift Sanheim down to the 2nd pairing) then have Gudas on the 3rd pairing with Hagg/Myers/Morin.

Both Sanheim and Provorov are both RFAs this summer and Philly has the chance to lock them up at a reasonable rate long term depending on their agents.
