I have a feeling Korenar is gonna get lit up big time. He's aggressive and active, and those Avs top dogs are gonna pick that apart
Depends on if they get some of their guys back. They're pretty beat up and not having Mikko play is a huge swing in momentum.

They're not getting traded even if you give them 40 minutes a game.
Who do you propose we play for those minutes then? Would you rather Vlasic be out there more often? Ferraro is already playing a ton of minutes. Knyzhov is playing an appropriate amount of minutes. You can bemoan everything forever, but at some point Burns/Karlsson are the workhorses and still in physical shape to handle those minutes. You have to ride them.

There's only 1 #94 from Russia....I can't believe Korky is 45 years old.....

I mostly think of him as #15. It's the number I've worn most of my life as he was my fav as a kid.

Separately, how was Barabanov used in Toronto that he only got a single point in 13 games? I mean that trade is looking like a steal. I know it's two games and we'd have to sign him but damn has he looked good in the top 6.

Would love to Old Takes Exposed the dummies that were saying Kane was not worth his contract the past 3 years and those saying he was not playing well this season.

Yup. I'm sure next year though when he goes goalless in like 5-10 games the crying will pop back up. I've said it since the day he was signed, there is nothing wrong with his 7M contract. If anything I saw way more room for the upside versus it being a cap nightmare.

The only thing I hated was his penalties and for the most part he has taken care of that issue.

What's kind of strange is that he didn't really start having penalty issues until he came here.

I've been pleased with Barabanov, but IMO the half-glass full perspective is that ideally he's not physical enough for a top two line and not defensive minded enough for a bottom two line. So, that'd be something like a green Donskoi or really raw Nyquist. With that profile on the Maple Leafs, he may have been scrapping for bottom line minutes. On the Shorks, there's plenty of opportunities for anyone with good skates and wrists.

He's a guy that would be a nice piece to have on the 3rd line (along with a bevy of others). There are a ton of 3rd line scoring wingers, but no 3rd line scoring center (we have one but he's just having to play in the top 6). Gotta get deeper down the middle to package with this wing depth.

Yep, in today's NHL, you really shouldn't have a third line full of grinders. Having a skilled third line of Barabanov-XXX-Labanc/Donato that provides secondary scoring and contributes on the 2nd PP unit would be great.
