I mean. You play to win. Winning builds confidence. You want to keep building good habits. Losing gets us closer to a top 5 pick potentially. As long as we're in the top 10 its a win for me. Ideally I'd like us to pick up an extra 1st in this draft.

It's not going to make much of a difference if the Sharks sit where they do or go down to 5. The players available will be comparable and chances are they're not going to be top line/top pairing players. The top ten will have solid players most likely but nobody that's changing the franchise in a meaningful way. If DW wants an elite prospect, he has to do what he can to tank next season at the very least and maybe 2023 depending on where the team sits at that time. If that's the case, they probably need to trade Hertl so that he stops carrying his team to the few wins they get. lol

Yeah, I can see Ottawa passing the Sharks, but that's about it unless we lose the next 3 games. Columbus and Detroit are playing each other in their last 2 games, so if Columbus wins both, then we can move up another spot....but I have a feeling they'll end up splitting the games. The Canucks look terrible, so I don't think they'll pick up another 8-10 points either. I think the Sharks end up picking 8th.

Like I said, just let the kids get games and start sitting core guys , you arent tanking you are letting the kids learn what it will take to make the team next year.
