Gives me the feeling that someone is getting moved.
That would make sense if DW is including prospects in a trade or he plans on having a few more guys play in Europe the entire season. Guy is an AHL goon.

Why? There aren't enough spots in the bottom-6 or in the AHL as it is...this signing makes no sense lol.

The only thing that makes sense to me is that it’s a Covid thing. Shortened season means more back to back games and 3 games in 4 days. Heightened chance for injuries due to a long off season and condensed schedule. Add in the chance of a COVID break out on the team. It doesn’t cost any cap space to add a bunch of guys at or near minimum and there’s no limit on roster size in the AHL.
