Incorrect. It is objectively a move that has very strong odds of not working out to where the kid is an NHL'er. That doesn't make it a bad move. In this context, an insignificant move that will probably yield insignificant results doesn't make it a bad move, let alone objectively bad. It's just insignificant but your need to incessantly complain about things won't allow you to just leave it at that but instead use absolute language and exaggerate things. This stuff takes away from credibility and you've done it to such a degree that you don't have any.
You just admitted there are very strong odds that this kid won't play in the NHL, moreso than almost any other player the team has signed to an ELC in recent history. That makes it a bad move, especially because there would have been zero penalty for waiting to see how he performs this season. A move doesn't need to have cataclysmic consequences to be a bad one. Trading a 6th round pick straight up for a 7th round pick would be insignificant too but that doesn't make that a good move.
